Day 01 - Zurich Arrival

Upon arrival at Zurich airport, complete customs and immigration formalities. Take out your 15 Days Swiss Pass and use the same to take a train from the airport to Zurich Central station. We recommend staying at Zurich City centre. Upon arrival at the station, walk down to your centrally located hotel and overnight at your hotel in Zurich.

Day 02 - Zurich Rhine Falls : Lucerne : Swiss Transport Museum

After breakfast, checkout and leave your luggage at the hotel and proceed to Rhine Falls. To reach Rhine Falls, SchlossLaufenamRheinfall is the closest train station but from there you can only see the Rhine fall from above. Most people visit the falls from the other side of the Rhine, below the falls. If you like to take the boat to the small rock in the middle of the falls, you have to start from here. In this case you start from Zurich HB (central) station and catch a train to Schaffhausen and from there the bus no. 1 towards Rhine fall. You will find two bus No. 1's on the two sides of the road, but on one side, the sign in front of the bus no. 1 (you know the destination electric sign) will show the words "Rheinfall" .You get off when the bus stop announcement system on the bus says a stop, accompanied with the English announcement "Rhine Falls" which is the NeuhausenZentrum Bus stop. Next, follow the signs towards Rhine Falls for buses and cars. There is a pedestrian walking don't worry. You will pass through a tunnel, cross the road about 2 or 3 times, and then down either stairs or a slope (your choice) until you eventually wind at the spot where you view the Rhine Falls from afar. The spot is directly next to the boat rides starting point. We recommend you to go for the Rhine Falls rock boat tour. This 30 minutes boat tour brings you up close to the Rhine Falls where the walk up to the top of the rock is an opportunity not to be missed. Later by afternoon return to your hotel, pick your luggage and take a 50 minute train to Lucerne. Upon arrival at Lucerne, check in at your hotel. We recommend staying close to station. Rest for an hour and then proceed to Swiss Transport Museumusing your Swiss Pass for free. From Lucerne station - 8 minutes by train (S3 or Voralpen express) to the "Luzern Verkehrshaus" stop / 10 minutes on bus No. 6, 8 or 24 to the "Verkehrshaus" stop / 10 minutes by boat (own landing stage, "Verkehrshaus-Lido") The entry is chargeable at a discount with Swiss Pass. The Swiss Museum is the most-visited museum in Switzerland. On display are more than 3,000 objects, simulators, multimedia shows and interactive exhibits occupying an area some 20,000 m2 in size. On view are cars, boats, trains and aircraft, many of which can be boarded. Once done with the museum, take the Chocolate adventure. They made the journey from the cocoa to the chocolate as an amazing journey telling about the relevant things. It will take less than 30 minutes but an experience for sure. They take you around in a cup-saucer like train inside and tell you the history. End it with shopping at the Lindt shop. Overnight at your hotel in Lucerne.

Day 03 - Lucerne : Mt. Titlis

After breakfast, proceed to Mount Titlis. Reach the Lucerne station to catch the train to Engelberg. There is a train every 1 hour from Lucerne to Engelberg and vice versa. Upon arrival, walk to the exchange counter to exchange your voucher with actual tickets. The trip to the summit takes approx. 40 minutes. First you take the gondola 'TITLIS Xpress' from the Valley Station to Stand. It passes the mid-station Trubsee, but you can stay seated there. In Stand, you switch to a cable car to the top of the Titlis. This cable car is called 'Rotair' and has a revolving cabin for 360° views. At the top of Mt. Titlis (10'000 ft. above sea level), a high alpine panorama awaits you. Take a walk over the Cliff Walk, the highest suspension bridge in Europe or visit the stunning Glacier Cave. Get closer to those deep crevasses on your Mount Titlis tour with a ride on the Ice Flyer or visit the Glacier Park where you can try snow tubing, even during the summer. Stop for lunch at one of the restaurants or relax with a drink as you soak up the sun from the terrace. On the way back you can get off at Trubsee and try out some exciting optional activities there like Ziplining or rowing a boat on Lake Trubsee. Later return to Lucerne the same way and if time permits, you can do some local shopping at Lucerne Station before you step back into your hotel. Overnight at your hotel in Lucerne.

Day 04 - Lucerne : St. Gotthard Express : Lugano : Fox Town

After breakfast, checkout and take the St. Gotthard Express train to Lugano. It is a 5.5 hour journey by boat and train offering very diverse scenery with snow-capped mountains and palm trees.The famous Gotthard train line is a wonderful piece of railway engineering with many spiral loops, bridges and tunnels. The train only offers 1st class seats is in case you have 2nd Class Swiss Pass then a supplement charge is also required to book this train. The first leg of the journey is from Lucerne to Fluelen by a historical paddle steamer and is of 3 hours duration. Later reach Fluelen and after a one minute flat walk from the pier to the station, your journey continues by train. The next 2.5 hours will be full of mountain scenery and impressive railway engineering of the famous Gotthard railway.The train has to gain a lot of altitude in a short distance of about 670 m in just 30 km. This is very challenging and in order to make that possible, several spiral loops have been carved in the rocks in order to lengthen the railway. That becomes really obvious when you are passing the village of Wassen and its little white church three times, because of the two loops here. Later reach Lugano and walk down to your hotel and check in. We suggest staying at a hotel close to the station. After about a couple of hours of rest proceed to Fox Town. Catch the train from Lugano to Mendisio. Journey time 19 minutes. Next catch the bus from Mendisio Station to Foxtown. Journey time 2 minutes.Foxtown is the biggest factory-stores-center in Southern Europe, where 160 stores, carrying 250 well-known brands, such as clothing, sporting goods, home appliances, fashion-accessories and gifts sell their product at attractive prices, with discounts varying between 30% and 70% all year. Among the brands present at Fox Town are: Armani, Burberry, Gucci, Dolce &Gabbana, Corneliani, Clarks, Valentino, Nike, Napapijri, Polo Ralph Lauren, Tommy Hilfiger, Michael Kors, Philipp Plein, Tod's, Swarovski, Woolrich, Bally, Adidas, Boss, Salvatore Ferragamo, Coach, Dsquared2, Timberland, Furla, Ugg, Maje, Prada and Montblanc. Foxtown is open from Monday to Sunday from 11 am to 7 pm, including holidays. Overnight at your hotel in Lugano.

Day 05 - Lugano Monte Bre and Swiss Miniatur

After breakfast, first proceed for Monte Bre at 08 30 am. Take a bus from Lugano station to the stop 'Cassarate, Monte Bre'. The bus ride takes about 15 minutes. The walk from the bus stop to the funicular station takes 2 minutes. The funicular departs from Cassarate every 15 minutes starting at 7:00 am and from Suvigliana every 30 minutes starting at 9:05. You can reach the village of Bre by a wonderful path through the woods. Later return to Lugano station the same way and then take a 7-minute train to Melide station, around 200 metres from Swissminiatur Park. This park is chargeable but discount can be availed along with Swiss Pass. Swiss miniature is Switzerland on a smaller scale. There are 128 models of houses, castles and monuments in the open air, distributed throughout the 14,000 square meter park. Swiss Miniature is also a visual delight, since its models are surrounded by 15,000 flower species and over 1,500 trees. Later, return back to your hotel and overnight at your hotel in Lugano.

Day 06 - Lugano Bernina Express : Chur

After breakfast, checkout and today proceed for the world famous Bernina Express. The duration of this journey is about 7 hours. From Lugano to Tirano, you travel by Bernina Express Bus. From Tirano you take the Bernina Express train via Valposchiavo, St. Moritz, Davos, and Landquart to finally arrive at Chur.The railway is unique, blending ideally with the alpine landscapes around the Albula and Bernina Passes. The train negotiates the 55 tunnels, 196 bridges and inclines of up to 70 per mille with ease. At the highest point on the RhB, 2,253 metres above sea level, you will find the Ospizio Bernina. Here, visitors can delight in the cultural and natural surroundings and enjoy the Alps at their most impressive. The railway line from Tirano - Valposchiavo - Thusis has UNESCO World Heritage status. Thanks to the modern panoramic cars, you will enjoy unrestricted views of the unspoilt Alpine panorama.Upon arrival check in to your hotel in Chur near the station.Overnight at your hotel in Chur.

Day 07 - Chur : Glacier Express Zermatt

After breakfast, checkout and today proceed to board the scenic train "Glacier Express" on an approximately 8 hour journey to Zermatt. This scenic train actually begins from St. Moritz but we will not backtrack this portion from St. Moritz to Chur as we have already done it on our Bernina Express journey. The route has stops at Disentis, Andermatt, Brig, Visp and finally Zermatt. You can also travel part of the route and board from any town. Due to the name of the train, you might suspect that you will see one glacier after the other while on board. However, the glaciers are up in the mountains. They are close but you can hardly see them from the train. Also they're getting smaller due to global warming. The scenery is stunning though, with many mountains, fierce streams, impressive rock formations and lots of snow, especially in winter and spring. The route consists of three sections, each with their own unique scenery.Section 1: Chur to Andermatt. Section 2: Andermatt to Brig. Section 3: Brig to Zermatt where the journey ends at this car free mountain village at an altitude of 1605 m.

Day 08 - Zermatt – Matterhorn Glacier Paradise:

After breakfast, proceed to the cable car point for your journey to Matterhorn Glacier Paradise at an altitude of 3883 m. There is no cable car to the Matterhorn itself but there are several great viewing points around Zermatt, where one can see the Matterhorn very well. One of them is Klein Matterhorn, which means 'Little Matterhorn' but in tourism it is often referred to as the 'Matterhorn Glacier Paradise'.The world's highest 3S cableway has been carrying visitors to the Matterhorn glacier paradise since 2018. We recommend you to take the Crystal Ride where its cabins, which are coated with Swarovski crystals. During the nine-minute journey, the special cabin offers a spectacular view: after three minutes, the cloudy glass bottom clears in a matter of seconds to provide a magnificent view of the glacier landscape. At the top there is an outdoor viewing platform, as well as indoor panoramic windows. You can visit the Glacier Palace which is an ice grotto inside the glacier, with ice sculptures. You can even do snow tubing. Return back the same way. Overnight at your hotel in Zermatt.

Day 09 - Zermatt : Gornergrat Bahn

After breakfast today we go a scenic train journey of Gornergrat Bahn.Departing from Zermatt every 24 minutes, the 33 minute journey on Europe's highest open-air cog railway takes travellers over 3000 meters above sea level to the Gornergrat Peak across stunning bridges, through galleries and tunnels, idyllic forests, past gorges and mountain lakes. With the Matterhorn continually in the field of vision.. Once at the top, the sunny viewing platform offers perfect views on up to 29 mountain peaks that rise to over 4000 meters, including the second longest glacier in the Alps- the Gorner Glacier- and unforgettable views of the Matterhorn, the peak that inspired the world famous Toblerone chocolate. Return back the same route. Overnight at your hotel in Zermatt.

Day 10 - Zermatt : Montreux : Chillon Castle

After breakfast, checkout and board a train to Montreux which takes approximately 3 hours. Upon arrival, leave your luggage at your hotel which we suggest must be close to the station and then take the cruise to Chillon castle (free with Swiss Pass). The Cruise pier is close is less than 5 minute walk from the station.Chillon Castle is located on a rock on the banks of Lake Geneva. The water castle is the most visited historic building in Switzerland. More than 400,000 guests visit Chillon per year. They view the wall paintings from the 14th century, the subterranean vaults, parade halls and the bedroom (which has been preserved in its original form) dating to the time of Bernese rule. The entire complex consists of 25 buildings and three courtyards, protected by two circular walls. Return back early evening and check in at your hotel. Overnight at your hotel in Montreux.

Day 11 - Montreux : Glacier 3000 : Gstaad

After breakfast, proceed to visit Glacier 3000. First take a train from Montreux to Gstaad(1.5 hrs) and then from Gstaad Bahnof, take the yellow postal bus to Col du Pillon(33 mins) and then board the panoramic cable car which takes you to the top of the mountain in just 15 minutes. After riding the cable car to the 9,842-foot (3,000-meter) mountaintop of Glacier 3000, visitors can take in the views from the Botta restaurant and terrace. On top you can enjoy a spectacular view onto the most beautiful alpine peaks (Jungfrau, Matterhorn, Mont Blanc). Certain activities are free on the top like the Peak Walk by Tissot, Ice Express Chair Lift, Glacier walk, and Glacier Fun Park. You should have sun glasses, because the light is very strong. Paid activities include dog sledding,snow bus rides, and the Alpine Coaster, the world's highest toboggan run. On your return journey suggest you to make a stopover at Gstaad.The grand centrepiece of Gstaad shopping is the impressive Gstaad pedestrianised promenade where you will find elegant boutiques and international flagship stores, professional sports shops, fine jewellery stores to smaller retailers selling a range of regional produce. You will find the time and the wide range of shops here. Later by evening return back to Montreux. Overnight at your hotel in Montreux.

Day 12 - Montreux : Golden Pass Line : Interlaken : Lake Brienz Cruise

After breakfast, leave early by 0830 am for Interlaken (approx. 5 hrs journey) via the famous Golden Pass Line and on the Golden Pass Panoramic train. The landscape crossed by the Golden Pass line is of incomparable richness and diversity especially when your train has huge panoramic windows. This train also offers you a very special attraction: 8 VIP seats at the front of the train. The view is even more beautiful than that of the driver who has to look at the rails, but this is available only on 1st class and must be booked months in advance. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel near the station and post lunch, proceed for the Cruise on Lake Brienz which is free with the Swiss Pass. Your excursion to Lake Brienz begins at the jetty beside Interlaken Ost. Check the departure times and the programmes on offer, then select the boat trip on the turquoise waters of Lake Brienz that most appeals to you. The entire round trip across the lake goes from Interlaken Ost to Bonigen, then to Ringgenberg, Niederried, Iseltwald, Oberried, Giessbach Falls, Brienz and back again. The trip takes about an hour and a quarter if you do not stop at any location, but we suggest you otherwise. The boat makes its second last stop beneath the Grandhotel Giessbach. The Grandhotel Giessbach has towered over Lake Brienz since 1873/1874. It is an attractive spot to spend a few hours and take the opportunity to admire the falls. Europe's oldest funicular railway transports guests at an additional cost, from the lake's shore to the Grandhotel Giessbach and the imposing Giessbach Falls in comfort. Marvel at the falls and the breath-taking view across all of Lake Brienz while you relax on the Grand hotel's terrace. After your detour to see the Giessbach Falls, take the next boat heading towards Iseltwald. On your way there, you will pass a small island known as the "Schnaggeninseli" (Snail Island). Iseltwald is a charming little village on the shore of Lake Brienz. Why not spend a little time enjoying one of the quayside restaurants or exploring the beautiful lakeside paths? When you're ready, take the next boat to Ringgenberg and Bonigen before returning to the jetty in Interlaken Ost. Overnight at your hotel in Interlaken.

Day 13 - Interlaken : Adventure Sports : Mount Jungfraujoch : Funky Chocolate Club:

After breakfast, start early today by 8 am and spend the morning time doing some adventure activities available at Interlaken like Tandem paragliding, Tandem Hand Gliding, Tandem Skydiving, Amateur level Water rafting, Canyon Swing, and more. Later by 10:30 am proceed to Interlaken Ost station and collect your train tickets by submitting your voucher and showing your Swiss Travel Pass. Board the Jungfrau Railways train. The first stop is the Lauterbrunnen station where you change trains after which the train climbs uphill for jaw dropping views of the Lauterbrunnen valley. After arriving at Kleine Scheidegg station you again change trains, but this time it's the famous redcog wheel train for the steep climb ahead. The majority of this section is in a tunnel. The train will make a short stop along the way, at Eismeer. You can get off the train for a few minutes to enjoy the views through the panoramic windows. At the top you visit Sphinx Terrace which is the Europe's highest-altitude vantage point at 3571 meters, The Ice Palace where you can enjoy exquisite ice sculptures, Alpine Sensation Tour - all free of charge. You can also try chargeable rides such as snow tubing, Sledding or Tyrolienne- A 200 metre flight attached to a cable.If you feel hungry on top you can even try out Indian food on top at the Bollywood restaurant.Return back the same route. In the evening suggest you to attend the Swiss Chocolate making workshop at the Funky Chocolate Club in Interlaken which is chargeable. The workshop takes 75 minutes depending on your creativity and how many photos you want to take. Your chocolates need to cool down for a minimum of 60 minutes after the workshop. Please plan your trip so you can come and pick up your gift wrapped chocolate bars 60 minutes after the end of the activity or anytime the next day. Overnight at your hotel in Interlaken.

Day 14 - Interlaken : Mannlichen : Grindelwald First : Harder Kulm

After breakfast today experience two different peaks today. Start the day by visiting Mannlichen. From Interlaken Ost, take a train to Lauterbrunnen and then change trains at Lauterbrunnen for Wengen. Upon arrival at Wengen, take the Mannlichen Royal Ride Cable car to reach this peak. It is chargeable but at a discount along with the Swiss Pass. Take your place on the rooftop balcony of the cable car. The journey is about 15 minutes and once you are on top we suggest you to first go for the walking trail to the Royal Walk. The Royal Walk leads from the top station to the Mannlichen summit and the path rewards you with phenomenal views of the iconic Eiger, Monch and Jungfrau peak trio. If you have kids with you then don't miss the Alpine Herdsman's Playground with an 8.5-metre-high giant cow with a walk-in interior. The oversized cow is made of wood and steel and has an amazing interior, a viewing platform and even a slide. The playground also boasts a seesaw, a swing, small trampolines and many other exciting features. Next, take the cable car to Grindelwald Grund station which takes about half an hour. Once at the station you must change trains to reach Grindelwald Main station in a 3 minute journey. Next, take a 10 minute walk to the Grindelwald BGF to take your cable car. With Swiss Pass, you can avail discount on the cable car tickets. The journey up to First is in 3 stages (you can get out at each stage if you want) and you stay in your cable car as it very cleverly changes direction up to the top. From Grindelwald you go to Bort and then onto Shreckfeld and then finally reach First. It takes about 25 minutes. Once you reach First, you must do the awesome cliff walk which is free. The First Flyer goes from First down to Shreckfeld. The new First Glider whizzes you backwards in a harness from Shreckfeld up to First and back again. From Shreckfeld you can travel by mountain kart down the mountain track to Bort where you can swap the kart for a Trotti bike and scoot back downhill into Grindelwald on twisty but quiet roads. Do remember that you must not buy a return cable car ticket at the start in case you want to come down by different means. After returning back, take the 10 minute walk to Grindelwald Main station to catch your train to Interlaken. Upon reaching the station, exchange your vouchers for tickets of Harder Kulm. It is located at 1322 meters. The journey starts not far from Interlaken Ost station, leads through a charming forest and passes the wildlife park. A five-minute walk takes visitors from the mountain station to the lovely restaurant with turrets and a red tile roof. Next to the restaurant, you may visit the "Two-Lakes-Bridge" and an airy viewing platform with a glass area in its floor. Later, return back to Interlaken OST station to return back to your hotel. Overnight at your hotel in Interlaken.

Day 15 -Interlaken : Mount Schilthorn, Trummelbach Falls : Jet Boating : Zurich

After breakfast checkout, leave your luggage at the hotel and proceed for a full day trip to Mount Schilthorn. This mountain excursion is chargeable with Swiss Pass (but every year it differs so cross check before booking) There are two routes to go to the top and we recommend you to go on a long but scenic way up. First, take a train from Interlaken Ost station to Lauterbrunnen station where you get down and take the Gondola ride adjacent to the station to go all the up to Grutschalp where you change of to a scenic train journey all the way to the traffic free village of Murren. During certain time periods in summer and autumn you can visit Allmendhubel, located at 6257 feet and reachable by a five minute train ride from Murren (this ride is chargeable). You can even try a local lunch at the Panorama Restaurant, kids can play at the adventure playground or you can even explore the Flower Trail on the created walking path there. After returning back to Murren you can take the cable car a level up to Birg. Suggest you to go for the Thrill Walk that leads down into the vertical walls of the imposing rock massif. Visitors walk along a 200-metre cliff pathway under Birg cableway station. Next try the Skyline Walk that opens up new perspectives. This platform is situated over a vertical precipice, offering stunning and exhilarating panoramic views! Next, take the cable car to Schilthorn which is the top. Here is the famous revolving restaurant Piz Gloria (at 9744 ft.) that turns around its own axis in 55 minutes, allowing the most fabulous natural scenery of the whole Alpine. The Schilthorn - Piz Gloria is made even more popular because one of the James Bond Movies was filmed here in 1969. There is a 007 museum on the top, as well as an outside walkway with the cast from "Her Majesty's Secret Service", which was filmed on site. If you are James Bond enthusiast, this is your dream come true and, if you are not, you will be one by the time you leave. Even the bathrooms carry on the Bond theme. On the Schilthorn Ridge, far from the summit hustle and bustle, three spacious loungers invite you to linger with spellbinding mountain and lake views stretching to the horizon. On your return journey if you are not so tired then suggest you to again get off at Murren again and this time take the scenic walk to the next cable car station of Gimmelwald. On the way you will see Swiss farms, small waterfalls and stunning mountain views. Once you arrive at the beautiful Swiss village of Gimmelwald, admire this traffic free village's beauty before hopping on to the cable car down to Stechelberg. Next, take a bus from Stechelberg to Trummelbach bus stop. The Trummelbach falls are actually a group of 10 glacier-waterfalls inside the mountain made accessible by tunnel-lift and illuminated. There is a charge though to go up the falls. After returning down, take a bus to Lauterbrunnen station where you can change trains to reach back Interlaken Ost. Upon reaching back to your hotel you will be picked up for your Jet Boating excursion which is provided complimentary by the Jet Boating Company. Pick up from your hotel and transfer to the jet port in Bonigen to the majestic and famous Giessbach Waterfalls, thundering 500 meters down over 14 cascades into the lake. Experience an unforgettable boat tour peppered with impressive scenery, unique driving sensations, the right amount of adrenaline for everyone to fully enjoy, full 360 degrees spins and a good amount of time on the water. After returning back to your hotel, catch a train to Zurich and stay at a hotel close to the airport that provides free shuttle to and fro from the hotel. Overnight at your hotel in Zurich.

Day 16 - Zurich Departure

After breakfast, checkout and depending on your flight timing take the free shuttle transfer provided by your hotel (as your 15 days Swiss Pass would have exhausted on day 15) to reach Zurich Airport for your flight back home.
